Terms and privacy

These are the plain-language terms for a businesscard.ae digital business card. We also agree the details with you personally, by phone or in a meeting, before anything starts.

1. What we provide

We make NFC business cards and a digital company page for UAE companies, hosted at yourcompany.businesscard.ae. Your card opens that page when tapped on a phone.

• Setup of your company page and NFC card during implementation.
• Basic SEO for your page, based on your own website content. This is a one-time setup. It is not an ongoing or full-time SEO service.

2. Charges

• Initial charges are payable at implementation time.
• An annual renewal charge applies each year.
• Major data additions or changes after your page goes live are chargeable.
• A replacement card is chargeable if your card is damaged.

The exact amounts are agreed with you by phone or in a meeting before work starts.

3. Renewal and non-payment

If your annual renewal is not paid, we wait for 3 months after the renewal date. If payment has still not been made after that, your card page is switched off. Visitors then see an "inactive" notice instead of your page. Contact us to discuss bringing it back.

4. Your content

You confirm that the information, logos, photos and documents you give us are accurate and that you have the right to use them. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful or misleading.

5. Availability

We work to keep your page online. Pages are hosted with third-party providers (Cloudflare and GitHub), so we cannot promise that they will never be interrupted.

6. Privacy

Information we hold. We keep the details you give us to build and maintain your card, such as your company name, logo, contact details, photos, licence number and certifications. We use them only for that purpose. The details you approve are published on your company page.

Company card pages. A card page does not use cookies or advertising. It records an anonymous visit count (which company page was opened, and which card or link it came from) so we can show your business how often the card is used. It does not record names or contact details. It remembers a visitor's language choice on that visitor's own phone. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example IP addresses) to run and protect the service.

Where data is stored. Your card details are kept in a private GitHub repository and published through Cloudflare. Only we have access to the repository.

Ending the service and deletion. If your card is switched off or you stop the service, you can ask us in writing to delete your company details and files, and we will do so within a reasonable time, except where we must keep records by law.

Links to other services. Buttons on a card can open WhatsApp, maps, Google reviews or social media. Once you tap one, that service's own privacy policy applies.

This website. businesscard.ae does not use cookies. It loads a font from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when the page opens.

8. Liability and governing law

We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost business, arising from your page or card being unavailable or from content you supplied. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the current year. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the UAE courts have jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
